ENplus A1 wood pellets from hardwood residues: specs, packaging and shipping

Pellet buyers who source from softwood mills sometimes hesitate when a hardwood offer lands on their desk. Hardwood pellets burn hotter and denser than pine, but the ash and residual mineral content are less forgiving. Here is what an ENplus A1 hardwood pellet spec actually looks like coming out of Vladivostok — and what the certificate on the pallet has to say.
The spec, plain
Our residential-grade pellet meets ENplus A1 (ISO 17225-2 A1) using dry hardwood shavings from the same oak and ash mill that produces our glue-laminated panels. No bark, no chemically treated stock, no MDF or laminate offcuts.

Hardwood pellets sit at the upper end of calorific value because the raw material is denser to start with. The trade-off is a marginally higher ash figure — still comfortably inside ENplus A1, but worth watching on a low-clearance domestic boiler.
Packaging options
- 15 kg small bags on shrink-wrapped 990 kg pallets, 66 bags per pallet — for retail and DIY channels.
- 1000 kg big bags with UV-stabilised polypropylene, four-loop handles — for wholesale and district heating.
- Bulk in-container loose loading — for pellet terminals with vacuum offloading, on request.
Pallets are heat-treated ISPM-15 for direct EU entry with no phytosanitary hold.
Container loading
A 40' HC container takes:
- 24 pallets of 15 kg bags = 23.76 t
- 24 big bags (1000 kg each) = 24.0 t
Loading and lashing photos are sent per shipment. If your buyer requires a pre-shipment inspection (SGS or Bureau Veritas), we schedule at the pellet plant before sealing.
What ships with every container
- ENplus A1 producer certificate (ID visible on every bag).
- ISO 17225-2 lab report per production batch, with sample ID matched to the container.
- Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate.
- Marine insurance certificate if we ship CIF.
