Overview
Poplar from the Russian Far East (Populus maximowiczii) is a light-coloured, low-density hardwood with straight uniform grain. Its combination of low weight, excellent machinability, dimensional stability and a smooth paint-ready surface makes it a workhorse for furniture components, mouldings and interior joinery where the substrate is later painted, veneered or laminated.
